日常生活中最簡單的話題-天氣，其實有很多道地的問法跟說法，接下來的小教室會教導你更高竿的天氣對話喔!不要再只是How is the weather today. It is cold. 這樣太遜囉!

What is the weather like out there? 外面的天氣如何?

要問別人外面的天氣如何, 最簡單的問法就是, "What's the weather like out there?" 或是我們可以用一個很簡單的it 來代表天氣, 舉例：“What's it like out there?"你也可以簡單地說, "How is the weather out there?"

如果我們想問別人未來的某一個時間會不會出太陽或是會不會下雨, 例如我想問人家星期一會下雨嗎? 像這種情況我們就可以說, "Is it supposed to rain on Monday?" 在這裡有一個很重要的片語就是”be suppose to “的片語, 這種講法是老美最喜歡的. 再比方說吧, 如果我們假設明天有什麼活動, 我們常常會要求別人先看看明天會不會出太陽或下雨, 這種情況老美他們會說, "Why don't you check and see if it's sunny tomorrow?" (你何不看看明天會不會出太陽呢?) 這裡把see if it's sunny 改成see if it's going to rain 就變成了看看會不會下雨.
